Virtually all baby stuff is stored in our closets just so this sort of thing cannot happen. Cats are ninjas.
Watching Remi grow into whatever she wants to be

Here is Remi. Her last ultrasound. Her due date is April 6 and if Anna has not begun to dilate by then we will artificially induce labor. Remi is currently just under 6 lbs so she will be a small to average size baby. They estimate her final birth weight at 6.5 to 7 lbs.
The image above is a profile of her head. If you squint just right you can see her nose and lips (no hair lip!). We think a hand may be visible in this image too (right next to the 2nd gunman in the grassy knoll). Seconds before this shot was saved she was rubbing her eyes. Pretty cute.
I really wanted to ask the ultrasound attendant if she could determine if Remi was actually white or black. Just to throw her off and give he that awkward moment to she would never forget. Anna thought it was a bad idea.
Oh, and we are now 100% confident Remi is a girl.

Tuesday is our last ultrasound. We should get an idea of Remi’s estimated birth weight (Anna says 6.8 lbs, I say 7.2 lbs). We will be sure to post pics.
On a related note, why isn’t there a sub $100 home ultrasound device yet? It’s such simple technology and so safe to use. Mark my words, in 5-10 years simple home ultrasounds will be as common as the silly microphones used to hear baby’s heart beat (yea, we bought one…and yea, listening with your own ear works better).

We are in!
Things are a mess and we have a lot of work to do but we are actually in the house (AKA the Remi container). Stuff we have done so far:
We only have a partially functional living room (only 1 seat) and the theater is far (f__a__r) from operational. Anyway, here are some pics of our messy world:

Remi is taking a toll on momma’s feet! (moving didn’t help either)

Click the pictures to see them full size.
She’s equipped with a spine, nose, cerebellum, a heart (with 4 ventricles!), lungs and she even has kidneys. So far she appears to be fully featured.
We are fairly relieved that her eyes moved from their previous fish-like position on the side of her head to a more frontal location. It was going to be tough finding glasses for a kid with eyes above her ears.
She weighs 8 ounces right now. This audio image is for Mac. That’s what she sounds like.
And the last one is her…flipper? I guess only girl babies have flippers. Obviously a boy baby would have a dorsal fin.
She still doesn’t have a name but that’s no big deal. No need to call her name when we always know where she is.
