Protesters demand U.S. leave Iraq in shambles

Tens of thousands gathered in Washington D.C. to demand an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from a battered Iraq. The protesters seek an unprotected Iraq to instantly fall into outright civil war and lay the groundwork for fanatics in Iran to dominate the region. Demonstrators insist on seeing significantly higher fatalities and as bleak a future as we can possibly devise for the Iraqi people.
According to Associated Press, 12 year-old Moriah Arnold addressed the throng with a stirringly arranged comment:
“Now we know our leaders either lied to us or hid the truth. Because of our actions, the rest of the world sees us as a bully and a liar.”
Embarrassed by a worldwide view of the U.S. as oppressor; protesters hope leaving Iraq with no future will play better on TV than all that hard work required to clean up the mess.
Idiots.
You’re too late. Where were you people when the world sat back and let Bush invade Iraq with circumstantial evidence? Where were you when the U.S. was actively engaged in the role of “bully” and “liar”? Your anger is well placed but it’s about 4 years too late. Tune in American Idol, sit down, and shut up. When we want your opinion we’ll institute a democracy.
United or not, the U.S. created a mess in Iraq. A cluster-fuck which Iraq and the world never requested. It’s our responsibility, our duty to clean the country up and make right as many wrongs as possible. Iraq cannot be left alone at this stage. We cannot abandon an entire population to chaos. If you’re worried about the U.S. comming across as a bully now how would that worldwide perception improve if we left Iraq to whither and die in the wake of our fabricated war?
